How to Find the Dawnay Arms

Finding the Dawnay Arms is simple as we are situated on the main road of the A19. Please follow the directions below depending on the direction of travel.

From York.
From the centre of York follow the signs for the A19 Thirsk. Once past the outer ring road (A1237) continue on the A19. Go through a village called Skelton and we are in the next village called Shipton By Beningbrough. We are situated midway through the village on the left. To get to the rear parking, turn 1st left as you enter Shipton down Station Lane (signposted Beningbrough hall) and approx 100m on your right there is a sign saying "Dawnay Arms Parking". Turn right here, follow the lane which will bring you into our large car park.

From Thirsk.
Follow the A19 towards York past Easingwold and into Shipton by Beningbrough. We are situated midway through the village on the right. To get to the rear parking, pass the Dawnay Arms on your right and in approx approx 150m turn right into Station Lane(signposted Beningbrough Hall.After approx 100m turn right and follow the lane into the large car park.
